Resume of Dr Robin Steeves |
|
|
|
Overview |
| |
|
Dr Robin R. Steeves
has more than 30 years experience in surveying, geodesy, and
geomatics engineering. He has had a wide range of research,
development, management, and consulting experience in these
fields. His experience has been in all three of the
university, industry, and government (both provincial and
federal) environments.
Since 1975 Robin
has:
- Performed a
variety of surveying and geodetic field work;
- Taught
university courses in geodesy and adjustment calculus;
- Performed
research in geodesy and geomatics (in university,
industry, and government);
- Managed and
supervised research and development in geodesy and
geomatics at the Geodetic Survey of Canada;
- As consulting
engineer, performed and analyzed surveying and geodetic
network adjustments of many networks of various types
and sizes around the world;
- As senior
manager, managed the field survey program at the
Geodetic Survey of Canada;
- Researched,
developed, marketed, and supported the internationally
acclaimed GeoLab computer software package.
He has authored
and co-authored more than 35 scientific and technical papers
(see list below). He very much enjoys the challenges
presented to him by consulting and collaborating in geodesy
and geomatics, related technologies, and associated research
and development. |
